1. Where do you recommend posting jobs for overseas workers?
We use onlinejobs.ph and usually purchase one month of the $69/month Pro plan when hiring.
2. How long does it usually take to hire someone using one of the Hiring Kits?
In our experience it usually takes about 2-3 weeks from the time you post the job description to selecting a candidate and offering them the job. This is the breakdown:
48 hours to receive inquiries and redirect them to the application
5-7 days for best 8-10 candidates to complete the paid trial test
5-7 days to line up and conduct Zoom interviews with best 3-5 candidates
3. How many candidates should I offer the paid trial test to?
In our experience, usually only about half of the candidates that are offered a paid trial test actually complete it. So we usually recommend offering it to 8-10 candidates so you have at least 4 or 5 candidates complete it and to choose from.
4. How much do you recommend paying for a paid trial test?
We usually pay around the hourly rate of the position we’re advertising for. So if we’re hiring a position that is going to pay $8/hour, then we would offer that for the paid trial test, with a cap on the number of hours for the trial test. Each Hiring Kit test has a recommended max number of hours for the trial test.
5. What if I don’t get any candidates that I like?
Post the job again. It’s amazing how many inquiries you get in a short period of time. If it’s been a few weeks since you posted the job originally, post it again and you’ll get a new crop of candidates.
